Astro steering shaft?
Went to the U-Pull-It today, got the steering intermediate shaft ($3.99, woo!) and of course the bearing/keepers for where the shaft comes out of the firewall.
Now, 2 questions - Does anyone have any part numbers, for the bearing, and the U joints in the shaft? I do not want to put it in without new parts... the U Joints look 'ok' (no noticeable play) so if I can't get them, not a big deal - but the bearing for the shaft up at the firewall is SHOT. I would really like a new one of them

I picked up an Astro steering shaft just for the u-joints and yokes. I used my Camaro shaft and welded the yokes to it. This replaced the knuckle joint at the top and the rag joint at the bottom. There was nothing wrong with the Astro u-joints and unless they're worn out, don't bother changing them.
To replace the bottom bearing in the upper steering column, you need to pull the entire upper column out of the car.
