Car: 89, 87, and 84 Firebirds
Engine: 2.8. 2.8, 350
Will these tires fit

I have the stock 15' rim that came with my 1989 Firebird, the tires currently are P215/65/R15 could i put a tire that is 195/50/15 on the rim? Or does it need to be 195/65/r15 or 215/50/15 please help i need tires soon and the best place to buy is online....thanks

195/50 and the 215/50's are way to small for the 3rd gen, IMO.
it will have HUGE fender gap, and make the car very low to the ground.

I agree with stage20 going to either of the sizes you mention you most probably would not be happy.And 15"X7" rims may prove to narrow for 50 series tires.You could go to a 225/60/15 or 235/60/15 and still be very close to original tire height and still give you more contact patch.Remember you have to consider your speedometer when you change tire height also.

235/60/15 is basically the same overall height as stock, and will be wider. Great choice for the stock wheels.
