Call Jenny Craig for some tips I could really use your center console and Ac setup if you are going to throw it away.

dump all the interior plastic and carpet.get some lighter seats.

only run 1/4 tank of gas.

thats about it,unless you want to get a bunch of new parts that weigh less.

like manual steering and stuff like that.

Those bumpers weigh like 1 pound if you're lucky (the side things, right?)

lighter seats
lighter carpet (stock is HEAVY)
light weight rims are often overlooked but it can make a difference
aluminum driveshaft
no AC
remove AIR
headers (iron manifolds are heavy!)
lightweight battery is nice
I bet my stealth ram weighs less than a TPI setup
I'm pulling my extra wiring today- but thats for my own sanity

Other than that, either get rid of everything or don't bother is my opinion. Pulling a seat here and some wires there won't add up, you really need to get rid of everything.

take a dump before you race

seriously though, when you mentioned removing the "safety bars" from your doors, were you implying gutting them? they are a significant part of the car's structural integrity, and in the event of a frontal accident they aid in keeping the dash from meeting the gas tank hump.. please keep that in mind..

Also if you get hit in the door it would be bad. I was thinking of doing glass doors but only if i had a cage in it. if you have a cage take out what you want.
