Backspacing, Offset, Lip sizes?
Ok, these are about backspacing/offset etc.
If I wanted to run an 18x10.5 wheel in the rear, WITHOUT spacers, how would I do it?
What kind of backspacing or offset would that require?
Does the backspacing or offset have anything to do with the size of the lip on the wheel?
I'm willing to take a set of wheels to a widener and have them widen them in the right areas if needed. I'm basically looking at a set of wheels with a 3" lip for the rears, 2.5" lip fronts (17x9.5)
Thanks for any help
BTW its' for an '89 GTA trans am.

Backspace is all that matters. Because what ever the backspace is the rest is on the otherside. I have 10.0 with 6" backspace. Depends on what you are willing to do inside the fenderwell. I have to cut out metal and run tubular control arms. If i was to buy new i would have went with 5" backspace, but means 1" more hanging out, but no cutting inside.
