265 series tire on an 18" IROC rim
Anybody running a 265 series tire on an 18x8 inch IROC wheel? I have seen a few running a 255 series tire but not a 265? I was wondering if it would bulge too much? Any opinions welcome
yes, however knowing the intended profile would help.
here is a comparison with a stock spec 18" setup to something similar in a 265..
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
245/40-18 3.9in 12.9in 25.7in 80.8in 784 0.0%
265/40-18 4.2in 13.2in 26.3in 82.8in 765 2.4%
235/245/255 is the only ones i would go with on a 8" rim. preferably 235 if you like the european look and 245 if you want a straight wall.

I opted for 245 high performance summer, over the 255's. With the suttle tread and nice rolled edge, the 245's almost look like slicks and look really good on 18" IROC's.
