Steering Column Connector- How to disconnect??
Steering Column Connector- How to disconnect??
I an installing Edelbrock headers on a 1992 camaro with a 305. Instractions say to disconnect steering column connector and slip tube down to steering box. I assume the column connector is the piece about 8 down the column from the firewall with a plastic protector around the lower part and some rubber on the bottom. I took out the bolt but nothing slips apart. I tapped on it a little but it did not want to move much. Am I in the right place.? How do I get it to slip down?

Well, i have never installed Edelbrocks but never had to disconnect the steering linkage to install headers. Anyways, they are hard to move sometimes, if you can tap on it with a hammer near the top it will ususally slide down enought to get it off the column. you may have to unbolt it from the steering box at the bottom to get it to move. or to remve it completely........jt
