Factory Iroc 1/4" Spacers

When using late 80's Iroc Wheels on my sport coupe, do I need to have a 1/4" spacer?

Right now my car has no spacers on it, and I thought I saw somewhere that Irocs used 1/4" wheels spacers.

If I need the spacers, do they go on the front, rear, or both?

1/4" spacers won't make a difference AFAIK. I have IROC rims on my TA and had them on my firebird, no issues with backspacing.

Forget about them, you don't need them.

Thanks guys, I will try to bolt them up without spacers.

One other question (just for my own reference), did the Irocs come with spacers on on 4 wheels? Or was it just the front or just the back?

They just came on the drum brake rears in most cases. they were .187 thick not a .250 (1/4").

The original purpose of the spacers was to make the difference between the old Aluminum drum brakes and ther Iron drums when the 16" wheels were introduced. Again who knows what was called out on the build sheets at the two assembly plants. Some dics brake cars had them and others did not until the spacers just disapeared in later model years. I guess GM just used what inventory they had and that was it.
