Corvette wheels
I AM LOOKING TO PUT ZO6 WHEELS ON MY 86 IROC. I WAS WONDERING THE STRENGTH OF WHEEL SPACERS UNDER A LOT OF POWER AND IF THE TIRES WILL SCRUB WITH 275/40 17'S OR 18'S UP FRONT AND IF A 295 - 315/18 WOULD FIT IN BACK...
THANKS,
NICK

I just put my extra set of ZR-1 wheels on my Firebird.
17x9.5 275-40-17 and 17x11 315-35-17 Both fit perfect. I used 2" wheel adapters. Also I need to raise my car about 1/2" (Due to drop spindels 2" and a 2" spring drop) that stopped my rubbing in the front. Also I would replace all your studs if you go with the wheel adapters. I hope that gives you an idea....

That gives me a great idea. I have new bushings all the way around and the car is still at stock height so I should be alright with sizes. The only other question is how well the spacers hold up? Or is that just a matter of what kind of shape the studs are in?
Thanks,
Nick
