Adjustable LCA needed?

Are adjustable LCA's needed after lowering. Aren't they more for centering the the wheels in the wheel well or something along those lines. I can't see what that would have to do with lowering. Can someone explain. I read this in a previous thread.

I ran for almost a year with stock LCA's on my car lowered 1.75'ish.

Its more the LCA brackets you need rather then A-LCA's.
