Steering shaft sizes/splines?
I need to know the sizes of the stock steering shaft sizes/splines at the connection to the column at the firewall , and at the steering gear box on the frame.
I have found:
1)1" DD connection at the column, meaning the steering shaft itself is a 1"DD?
2)3/4"30 spline "master" connection as the steering gear.So the steering gear shaft is a 3/4" 30 spline shaft?
Is this correct?

Although I don't know if your 82 will be 3/4" 30 spline. Somewhere in the late 70's or very early 80's GM switched to 3/4" 30 spline but I don't know the exact year or exactly which models. Chances are yours is 3/4" 30 spline since that's the most common.
