pinion snubber?

what exactly is a pinion snubber? was informed getting one for my car might make a world of difference with the third member rotating up and smacking the underbody of the car.

A rubber snubber that attaches to the top of the differential, right above the pinion. It stops the rear from rotating upward during hard launches, helping to keep the pinion angle correct. They are big with the Mopar, and mustang crowd.
