HELP!
I was changing the Balljoint and bushings on my front A-arms today. well as i was removing the steering knuckle from the old ball joint i moved it to the side well as i did so i heard a Tearing noise. i looked up and the Rubber in the Upper strutmount had torn. i didnt move it that much the brakeline was still cliped to the knuckle and the frame so it was not that much. Does this make the car undriveable? im out of cash and i owe my dad already can i drive the car for o say a month or so till i scrape the cash together to get it replaced?

I dont know about drivability for certain but I suspect it can be driven just not enjoyed. I would'nt bother replacing with a stock repalcement. Go to hotpart.com they have a nice caster camber plate with a solid strut mount.

well i am having to borrow money from my dad to fixit and he wont stand for my geting the expensive stuff. it was like pulling teeth getting him to let me buy MOOG stuff. Plus i dont want to make the suspention any stiffer till i get SFCs ad such. my car already has the Stress cracks the back of the windows and i fear that upgradeing the suspention past stock will make it worse.

just rip one off that looks descent at a junkyard. Make sure it's for your year though, they change around 87 or 86. Then save up to get the good stuff.
