85-87 IROC wheel lug nut ?? (sorry for this again)
85-87 IROC wheel lug nut ?? (sorry for this again)
I did search and came up with lots of info about correct size (i.e. 12 x1.50) but I couldn't find anything about different angles on the lugs. I was wondering if the IROC wheel needed a special nut to seat properly or if just any lug that parts houses and web sites carried in the 12 x 1.5 would work. I saw a set of TUNER tapered lugs advertised as haveing a 60 degree taper and in the add it stated that most wheels today used this lug. This made me wonder what I actually needed. Thought you guys may be able to tell me what I needed before I ordered the wrong thing. Thanks in advance.
You need a bluge cone lug if you are using the stock aluminum IROC wheels. I went with McGard Black Chrome from Jegs. McGard part number 64015. The JEGS part number is: 671 64015. They are 4 to pack, so you will need 5 packs.
They look great black and since it is chrome, they do not get marked up by the lug wrench.
McGard Innovative Security Products for a picture.
Hope this helps.

Well I found them on one site for $39. I had other stuff to order from summit so I got them there but had to pay $55.
eta: They are cheaper in a set and you get four chrome valve stems but you only get 16 lug nuts and 4 locking lugs. I wanted all regular lug nuts.
