Anyone dealt with or know about the KYB AGX struts and shocks??

i need some fresh opinions here. there is a lot of good and bad (like with anything i guess) info on the internet about these. they are a decent price, adjustable, and im sure a big upgrade from stock.

i dont need top of the line...the car will hardly see track time so bilstein and koni are out. it isnt a daily driver and i can handle a rough ride. im looking for a noticeable upgrade from stock that can handle a 2" drop

i dont want these to blow out too soon and will be running intrax springs.

any input???

I dont have experience with KYB AGX's but I do have 2 cars that are dropped 2+" with aftermarket struts/shocks. I think any shock can handle a 2 inch drop but it might wear faster and it also might affect the performance. I know on my street car I specifically got strut mounts with raised tops to provide more travel for the front struts. When you lower the ride height you are limiting the ammount of room the struts/shocks have to travel. It is possible to get custom struts/shocks with shortened internal shafts but thats alot of $$. I think most of us are more likely to be running off-the-shelf stuff which is still good but not really designed to be run at lower ride heights like 2+ inch drops. For my 2 cars dropped that much I'm running Tokiko and Koni, going good so far. But eventually I imagine they're gonna wear out and go soft and need to be replaced. 2 inches is pretty low, geometry really changes and you really limit the ammount of suspension travel, especially in the rear. Bumpstops start to become really important.
