Do you plan on using them on the street as well? Or just strip only? BFG, Drag radials. I ran them for years. If money is an issue, maybe you can grab a set of used ones.

There is no good street/strip tire. If it's soft enough to hook up at the track it will also be soft enough to wear out quickly from street driving. A typical drag radial type tire is expensive and has a life expectancy on the street of about 5000 miles (less than 2 oil changes). A good street tire should last at least 40,000 miles. If you want to save money, you don't want to be constantly buying new tires.

It will be cheaper in the long run to buy another set of rims for some slicks and keep the high mileage street tires on the street.

im gonna say that these tires are far from a drag radial compound...but i have bfg g-sports on my 16s and they are wonderful. 1.9 60' time on my virtually stock L98 and they have done well in turns. Rarely do the tires break loose on there own. Great in the rain also.

yeah i was hoping to find something good for the street and strip. i am currently running cooper cobras. i know, a huge mistake. ok, whats the best tire for the street that will hook up good? wow i sound like a newb, lol. my route may end up being getting two strip tires, but i need new tires anyway, so i was hoping to get some good tires that will work for both applications.

oh and i have 15s so from what ive seen, my options are limited.

Eagle F1 GSD-3 if you planning on wanting a tire last longer then 10k, that or look into nitto 555r or BFG DR, but dont expect it to last much more then 10k and not gonna be to great in the rain.
