Need urgent wheel help!

I bought a set of Boyd Magneatos over this winter and am having a problem. First, I couldn't use the stock lugnuts, so I went down to Autozone and picked up a set of spline drive lugs with the right thread size for the stock studs. This morning on the way to work, I sheared off three of the lugnuts, so my car is sitting out in the parking lot with 2 lugs holding my passenger front wheel on right now. What kind of wheel studs/lugs are you guys running on your wheels? And where can I get a set ASAP so I dont have to watch my car sit on jackstands while its 60-70 degrees out now?

Few questions for you:

Did you torque the lug nuts when you installed them?
Did you re-torque them after driving a few miles?
Did you use close-ended nuts?
Did they have a conical seat?
Were they 12mm X 1.5?

Dont have a torque wrench, but they were tight

After about 40-50 miles, yes.
Did you use close-ended nuts?
Yes

Yes. One of my friends kept telling me that aluminum wheels needed lugs with a shank on them that the wheel could "ride" on instead of the wheel stud itself. Not sure if this is true at this point or not.

Yes

A friend met me at work with my tools. We got the front end in the air, and the passenger side tire pretty much fell off the car. There were only 2 studs left at that point, and one of them broke when the pressure was taken off of it. 2 of the holes on that wheel were ovaled out pretty bad, so it looks like I'll be shopping for a new 17x8 Boyd Coddington Magneato to replace that one. Also, as I was taking the brakes apart to get the old rotors out, I noticed that I'm missing a caliper slide pin. Talk about sh*tty luck.

While I'm replacing all this stuff, can you guys reccomend some better studs/lugs to keep this from happening again?
