Check the sidewall of the tire. Should say MAX PSI. Dont exceeed that figure. This really does not answer your question, about "stock" PSI, but all tires have this on them AFIK.

The door placard on my 85 IROC suggests 30 psi.

I'll bump this thread up with a simular question

Should I go for 30psi on my camaro V6 with 215/65-15 wheels also? Should the pressure be different in the front and rear tires (been so on the last 5 cars I've had but..)?

And yes, the sticker is missing from my car as well. Damn repaint

If I remember tomorrow, I'll have a look on my car since it has the same size tires as you. Think I run mine at 32 psi.

brutalform, hope your not as bad as a friend of mine who likes to run 60 psi (the max psi of the tire) on his Blazer. His tires are going bald in the middle from over inflation now.

Did a quick search about the "Max PSI" writing on a tire.

The maximum pressure for the tire is written in small type around the side of the tire, next to the metal wheel rim. It is the PSI (pounds per square inch) number and will read like this "(44 PSI) max pressure". Max pressure means the most air to be put into this tire NEVER exceed this amount. This maximum pressure is used when you are carrying a heavy load, however, this is not the daily standard amount of pressure. The daily usage, standard amount for the tire 175/65 R14 is between 32 - 34 pounds of air. For these size of tires and the 15's, this standard pressure is used.
