Do UMI SFC's have enough clearance for SLP ypipe?
Do UMI SFC's have enough clearance for SLP ypipe?
Just like the topic says, I was just wondering whether or not UMI's 82-92 Fbody sub-frame connectors clear an SLP ypipe.
The reason I ask is that recently someone told me that the UMI's SFC's wouldn't work with the SLP ypipe and suggested I go with Spohn's version instead.
I ordered a set of 1 3/4 SLP headers last week and should be receiving them shortly and my next upgrade will be frame connectors in order to stiffen up the chasis a bit and I wanted to make sure the sub frame connectors I end up buying, will work with the headers/ypipe I've already ordered.
If there's anybody running an SLP 1 3/4 set-up and also has sub-frame connectors, which ones do you have or would you reccomend?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

You have the UMI frame connectors but no SLP headers and I have SLP headers but no UMI frame connectors. Look like we're both in the same boat here.
Your guess is as good as mine man. I've already installed the SLP's, but am waiting for confirmation that UMI frame connectors will indeed work with them witout clearance issues.
Apparently, no one has this combo or perhaps those that do, haven't seen this thread and shed some light on the things.
I haven't ordered the UMI's yet and will not, untill someone confirms that they work together......
Come on guys, there must be someone on here who has these two pieces and can provide a definitive answer to this question....

Just checking one last time before I place my order. UMI's current 15% discount ends on the 31st so I hope to get a confirmation before hand that they'll work with an SLP ypipe before I place my order.
I'd hate to find out after I've already spent the money, that the UMI's don't fit.
There's gotta be someone on this forum that has this UMI/SLP combination and can tell us if there's any clearance issues.
PLEASE RESPOND!!!!

Check towards the bottom half of page 2 of this thread, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/grou...nectors-2.html. (The link goes to page 2.) The SLP y-pipe sits further back than stock, but it should not be a problem.
Otherwise call or email UMI Performance. They will know.
UMI has a 15% discount running now? Do you need a coupon code at checkout for the savings?

The deal ends on the 31st, I believe. That's why I wanted to know if they worked with the SLP ypipe before I ordered. Only a week left till the deal ends.
Thanks for the links by the way. m I'll look into them.

Thanks for the coupon code. I found the thread in the Group Purchase board that mentioned it. I'm thinking about getting some LCA's.
