car sitting unlevel

what would make a car sit unlevel, basically sag towards the drivers side. i have an 87 t/a, and it seems to sag on the drivers side mainly a tilt forward like the car is trying to take a knee or something like that, its kinda hard to explain. has anybody else had this problem. i have replaced the rear springs, and im probably going to replace the front ones, but i want to find out some causes of this before i go to the trouble of taking the front end apart to get springs out. the springs i put in are the OEM springs aftermarket by TRW.

Well you are persueing the right steps usually if the car has a noticable lean its that the springs are bad or broken...

When i picked up my car it leaned to the drivers side, you could see that the driver side shock was busted...Might as well replace the shocks and struts while you are at it.

dcd, when you replaced the springs, did you make sure they were seated properly in the rubber spring mounts, between the springs and body? The springs fit one way. Do you have any pics of the car leaning? Kind of hard to tell by your description.

Also, maybe your panhard rod could be bent, if its stock, or misadjusted, if its adjustable. If your rear is not centered under the car square, it might appear to be leaning.

Welcome to TGO, BTW.

I have the same problem. Mine, however, leans to the front pass side. So far I've replaced the shocks, struts, rear springs, panhard bar, rear LCA's, end links, and all rear bushings. I've even replaced all the rear bolts with stainless. My car still sits unlevel but now I've noticed that when I jack the rear up, it seriously sags on the pass spring. This wasn't noticeable before. That's what I'm going to attack next.

All 4 tires are the same size?

Mine used to lean.. and when i replaced the rear shocks I noticed the prev. owner, or who ever replaced the shocks last yanked the old ones out and One of the old rubber bushings was stuck on the shock mount plate, and then they slid the new rubber onto the shock stud and installed it.. I dunno if any of you have that problem..

Have you been doing any Donuts or anything?

possible sway bar issue? maybe endlink bound tight on one side and broken endlink on the other?
