sway bar questions
ok guys i see that not to many people are useing the hotchkis sway bars on the f bodys. is it cause of price i have them and they were like 480 for both i think, but i hear alot of people want SOLID bars not HOLLOW. people who want stiffer bars should go with hollow plus they shed some lbs. or am i wrong in tests of hollow verses solid bars. hollow bar the same size as a solid bar with a weight hung in the middle will flex les then a solid bar. i could be wrong but input will help me guys. thanks

I have the 36mm hollow front with 24mm solid rear from a GTA. I don't know much about the Hotchkis, but I'm sure they are just as good, if you get the biggest ones.
I'm in school for mechanical engineering and one of our labs was testing a solid steel bar verses a hollow steel bar. The hollow bar won in the flex test and weight hanging test. That's what I'm going by. Of course there are different types of steel, heat treated, etc. So I don't know about the stock sway bars and how they perform under these tests. I'm sure someone will argue this though, so just take it as my 2 cents!
