Has anyone delt with the problem of the upper rear shock mounts blowing out through the floor board? its on a 83 z28 no air shocks. temporariilly fixed with the curved washers out of a cable reel. looking for something more permanent.

weld in new sheetmetal all around it. possibly cut out floor pieces out of junkyard donor car, then weld in new supports as well.
