just wondering if anybody has any ideas of where I can get some decent tires at an affordable price ( $100 a pop doesn't cut it). Thanks.

You get what you pay for. For example, I had Les Schwab tires ($70) on my T/A right when I got it and they wouldn't stay in balance. Sure they're cheap, but is it really worth it when you have to balance them every 500-1000 miles? Check out Vulcan Tire, Discount Tire Direct, or Tire Rack for fairly good deals on tires.
