2" adapters/18x9.5 rims help

Hey guys whatsup i just bought 18x9.5 Black Zr1 rims all around and 2" adapters from skulte performance. Now i put the adapters and rims on (no tires yet) to see how they fit and they looked like they were sticking out a little that it might affect me. Is this usual and will i have to do anything to make these rims fit with these adapters or is that just how it looks for now and it wont rub.
any help would be appreciated,

thanks,
Nick

I had a similiar problem with centerline 17 x 9.5 rims with stock offset for a forth gen camaro. I had skulte 2" adapters and they stuck out too far. I returned the 2" ones and got 1" spacers. That spaced the tires at about .5 - .75 inch in from the top of the fender (before that they stuck out and looked horrible). However, this did not come at a cost. I had to heat up the arm on the spindle (the tie rod end attaching point) with a torch and bend it up about .75" with a sledehammer and do some grinding on the tie rod end to clear the rims. I also had to bend in the back side of the control arm with a large cresent wrench or the rims hit on it. I mounted 275/45/17 tires on these rims and they do rub at full turn, but it's not to bad to live with. I have a forth gen rear in my car, so on the back the rims and tires bolted right up and looked good at about .25" in from fender lip.

If you end up doing somthing like this on your car, don't forget to get it aligned afterwards because a mod like this will change your toe setting drastically.
