Lakewood Trac Bars
I have a set of Lakewood trac bars that I have had on the car for awhile. I was wondering if anyone else has used these and what sort of adjustments did they find were giving them the best results. I have a moser 9 and those bars with 4.56 gears along with 295/65/15 MT radials and it seems that they still dont hook all that well When leaving on the transbrake. I would have thought it would not spun as much as it does! What kinda tire pressures are you guys running with those MT slicks?

I still have the factory torque arm. As for the brackets... The lakewood trac bars bolt right to the axle housing using a set of brackets so I guess I would say that they are relocated but Im not sure do you have a pic I can see?

As far as the tire pressure, you have to experiment, as every car is different. Try 18 PSI, and work down from there.

What part of the brackets have you seen break? The drivers side bracket already looks partially bent so I think I will change them out anyways.... You said the spohn ones are better? These are adjustable and everything? Thanks for the reply!
Not sure what part of the brackets break. The Spohn brackets are inexpensive. They must be welded onto your stock LCA brackets on the rear. They are adjustable, so you can move the LCA in different positions. This is basically what they do.

- if you do a search on the lakewood "traction action" bars, you'll find many reason to take them off.
- Put a set of lca relocates on and the a set of boxed or tube factory replacement lca's(lakewood makes a good set of these cheap) You'll find much more traction this way.
