Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Yes you can use them.

They bolt right on, with 2" spacers. The fronts might look a bit better with 2¼" or 2½" spacers, but if you do that, the outer edge of the tire may rub on the fender at the bottom rear of the wheel opening, when the steering is turned near lock.

I have those wheels on my car, with 2" spacers all the way around.

My tires are the Pirelli P-Zero Nero all-weather. Stock sizes for the Vette; I can't recall for sure, but they're something like 275/45-17 front and 315/40-18 rear.
