sfc clearance issues with dual cat exhaust

My 91 GTA has dual cat exhaust. I just had spohn's 3 point sub frame connectors installed by J.S. Performance in P.A. Unforunately, they could only install them as 2 point subframe connectors because of clearance issues with one of the cats.

I was thinking about deleting the cats and replacing them with straight tubing. But, this will cause me to fail emissions. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bill

When EBMiller installed mine he just took out the heat shield above one of the cats and the other bar fit fine.
