Installing rear coil springs direction ?

I was wondering on the rear coil springs which way do you want the bottom facing ( where the coil ends) does it change the ride height is you have it facing one way or the other? if so what does what? what about the top? thanks

P.S my car sits a little lower in the back then I like.

If you look at both ends of a rear spring you'll notice one side has a larger coil diameter than the other. The smaller diameter side mounts on the rearend tabs (bottom), the bigger diameter side mounts up by the shock towers (top). You could try to put it in the other way around but it would be obvious its in wrong. There is usually a spring isolator that sits on top of the spring. This can affect the ride height (depending on if it was removed and tossed or if its still on there). So if you dont got one and you want it to sit higher, add one. If you already have one, try to find a taller one (dont know if they make that, never tried to look).

I'm not sure if you meant "indexing" it, like you do with front springs (ie, line up the end of the spring between the 2 holes in the a-arm...)
->No, rear springs don't get indexed. I made mine line up in basically the same place, just in case.
Make sure you have rear spring isolators in place, or use 4th gen ones for an extra lift!

yeah indexing is what I mean, I searched the forums and some people said that you can change the ride height by moving them, but never said which way.
