Best Rim and Tire Combo

I have a 400 sbc bored .060 over .305 duration .525 lift flat tappet cam, sportsman 2 heads, holley 750, single plane. Also hace Comp. Eng. Traction bars and 3.73 out back. I want to upgrade rims and tires, car is daily driven but that can change, i want the best set up to hook up. I was looking at Cragars 15x8 SS with either 275/50 r15 M/T ET Street Radials or Hoosiers new D.O.T. Drag Radial, P 275/ 60-15 or there 275/50-15. And do you think there will be any problems with fitment with 4.25 backspacing either rubbing or sticking out? Thanks for the help

Depends greatly on how much you have to spend, and whether you want track only wheels, or if you plan on driving to the track.

If you plan on more than just 1/4 mile passes, look at Draglites/Pro stars/Rodlites from Weld. They are lightweight, most people find them good looking, and they are still durable enough to handle average street driving.

If you want track only wheels, there are a few more options out there, like Bogarts.

I would say that most people have really good luck with the MT ET Street DRs. I plan on getting a set of them soon for my car.
