tire size question

i just ordered polished 91-92 z28 wheels on here from zippin z. i want 245;s in the front and 255's in the rear, but what series? like 40-50 etc, thanks

alright i ordered 245/50/16s from summit, they look huge compared to the 235s on the car now, does anyone have any issues with this tire size rubbing in the front, or should i be all good?

Some people have a small amount of rubbing in the front at full lock, but it's usually nothing to be worried about.

Toss 'em on and find out

Your good to go. Those tires were stock on the Zs and
Irocs of 87 and up 3rd gens.

Alot of 3rd Gens running 245 Front and 255 Rears. Like
the widder 255 on the rear look. Getting hard to find the
255-50-16. Found #2, Falken and Dunlop. Just got two
BFG 245-50-16 KDs for the front,( Z-rated to 186). They
don't make a 255 so went with the BFG 255 Drag Radials
for the rear. Figure 5K as to milage on the rear but needed
them anyway.
