HELP! front suspension problem

hi im new here just bought a 84 z28 with a 350 and a 5spd manual...the front of my car is sitting rediculasly low...i hit the bump stops on the smallest bumps and the front part of the frame is prolly 2 inches off the ground...i need to raise it up to make it more practical for daily use...but i like the car being low and do not want it at stock hieght...what are the best springs to use??? i dont want to be riding the bump stops...if i can find a affordable direct bolt in coilovers i would like to go that route so i can adjust the ride height as i so fit...

also my front tires rub like crazy...have 16 corvette rallys...not sure of tire size but they are wide very very wide..i know im ganna have to get small rims and tires up front cuz i cant turn fully without the wheels rubbing...

my main problem though is the i rub to often the ride is very ruff and i hit the bump stops ALOT...

Well, start by changing your ride height, then look into the tires rubbing, that may cure itself.

Chances are somebody cut the stock springs or something. Or your shocks are toast, but I think if you're bottoming out, it's mostly the springs fault. What shocks are on it now?

I think coilovers are out of the budget, but i'm not sure of your budget, just guessing, they are pricey.

You can get some 1" lowering springs or something, but I think you should start with stock front springs, if you want you can chop a bit off. Cheaper, and you have the choice of going stock height if you want.

Moog 5662 for the fronts will work great, at any parts store for ~$75 for the pair. If they make it too high, you can chop it, but its a good starting point.

Then I'd think you'd want to look at your alignment before you go looking at changing wheels, it might be out of alignment.

Read the sidewalls of the tires, it'll say like 245/50/R16 or something, very easy to tell the tire size, post it on here, and we can tell you if they are "too wide" to use nicely.

yea the suspension is not stock all upgrade from what i was told and so far from what ive seen it is...

i know how to read the tire size just havnt done it yet lol...

i really dont want to go stock hieght and cut the springs...cutting stock size springs is not really a good way to go...i know ppl do it and i hear ppl like the results but i delt with that with my 80 malibu ride quality usually not as good as going with lowering springs...

ive been reading a lot on here and keep hearing bad things about eibach springs and few others too and not sure which ones to go with..i am going to replace my shocks as well thinking about going with kyb's or bliestins..

pretty much i just want to here what everyone else has suggest for springs whats good whats bad..how low does their car sit...ride quality...

if anyone knows of a decent coilover direct bolt on setup for the front of a third gen plz post link...

anyways thx for the advice sonix
