What Shocks do you Think are Best?
I am not going crazy with shocks, this is a street car (my 78Z28 is where all my money is sucked into) So I want affordable front struts and rear shocks.
Any advice on these or other shocks is appreciated.
Summit sells these Monroe front struts for $49.95

And rear Monroe $25.95

Also KYB front $49.88
http://http://store.summitracing.com...5&autoview=sku
And KYB rear for $19.99

Which company gives a better ride. I do want them too handle fairly nice, but I am looking for more of a nice stiff ride. If these are not good, what do you recomend and where should I buy them from???
Thanks!!

Koni and Bilstein make a good prodcut but you pay for it. For a good budget shock go with the regular KYB. For a little bit more the KYB G2 is a good all around shock. I have had these on my Camaro for the last 10 years.
My vote for affordable performance oriented struts/shocks for a street/handling car is always Tokico HP (Blues). If its for a street/drag car then the affordable setup would be the Lakewoods. Monroe and KYB are OEM performance level replacements in my opinion. They will work (of course) but you shouldnt expect too much out of them performance wise. Its true that you get what you pay for. If you are looking for the best as the title says then Billsblue89 is right, Koni, Bilstein, and maybe the higher level Tokico are what you want. If you want a nice ride the bushings are another thing you should focus on, don't need anything special but just make sure they are in good condition (OEM material if fine for street cars).
