He should be able to special order them at a "Parts Source" store, or Canadian tire. He'll probably want to look up the exact part number first, since the staff there are usually a bunch of shaved apes.
I wouldn't recommend lowering springs at all, especially on a V6 car. I don't think there's anything that you need to get, the "kit" should cover it all.

They're usually designed for a V8 car (weight), so my first guess is that they won't have the desired effect.
2nd - lowering springs suck. You'll be scraping the bottom end of your car all over the place, you have to drive around like a little old lady so you don't crush the underside of the car. It's not a Bentley, IT'S A CAMARO! Drive it like one! Plus they throw off the suspension characteristics of the car from the factory setup, so it just messes things up. eg, LCA angle.
All it does is make the car look cool. I'd rather use a body kit if that's what you're going for.
Anyway, it's your car, you should be able to get your buddy to grab 'em from those sources, just make sure you give him the correct part #. Last thing you want is to get the wrong ones shipped all the way down to you

There are a few speed shops that you can get lowering springs from. Try Karbelt in pickering(905-839-4421), Bolt-on performance in bolton(905-857-3333), Redline performance in scarborough (416-292-5320). All good places to deal with with decent prices.
