I read some threads, and see that spacers are needed for 4th gen wheels on 3rd gen's, but what about just the opposite? What happens when you bolt steel 3rd gen wheels on a 4th gen?
I've got both a 1984 Camaro and a 1998 Camaro, and I need to put a set of snows on the 1998...so I was wondering if using my spare set of 3rd gen steel wheels would work...
also, is there a 4th gen forum?

Well since you need a 2" spacer to fit 4th gen wheels on a 3rd gen, I would assume that 3rd gen wheels would stick out about 2" too far on a 4th gen. They'd probably rub the fender wells and rub other things when turning. But then again the steel wheels are probably narrower than the 4th gen wheels so there's a chance they would work. Give it a shot and let us know.
