Control Arm problem

I've been working on this 85 Berlinetta LG4 auto, on and off, theres many things wrong with it. One thing I was concerned about, because it could be a safety issue, is where the control arms meet the frame, its all rusted out on the frame itself. I can grab the control arms on both sides and shake them. It it worth saving? the car isn't in all that bad a shape and I'd hate to junk a Camaro just because of some rust out. Is it within the realm of possibility to lay some welds under the car to secure the LCA brackets without costing me an arm and a leg? Thanks in advance.

Looks like the cars fate is in the hands of the welder you choose for the job. If you have a good connection than about $150 sounds fair enough to weld in a few boxes in place with holes for the LCA's. If you are a "walk in" to the nearest body shop expect to lay out triple (or more) for that kind of job.

The owners' stepfather (I think) is a gearhead and I guess he knows a reputable mechanic/welder so I'm gonna leave it up to them. You aint kiddin about "its all who you know" I needed to get tires put on my daily driver (2006 G6) I had the new tires in my garage. Just for steelies Discount tires wanted 25 bucks a PIECE just to mount and balance tires. I went to a hole in the wall near my house that I go to when theres something I cant do in my own garage (like tires and welding) 10 bucks each.
