Can I safely run spacers with my WELD draglites?
I just picked up some 15 x 10 Weld Draglites with 5.5 inch backspacing. While test-fitting them I discovered major interference with the PBR calipers in the rear. I've since ground off the "cooling fins" on the PBR calipers but I'm still making contact with the wheel in a couple of places. I dont want to cut down the caliper any farther. I have some old 5mm spacers that I bought for some minor clearance issues a few years back, and I'm thinkng of using them with the Draglites. It will move the wheel off the caliper and not push it out into the fenderwell lip. Anyone have any experiences like this?
As long as you still have proper thread engagement, it'll be fine.
- I don't believe weld ever did, but some centerline drag type wheels have a loose insert in the wheel which causes poor balance if it's not siting on the hub center - just something to check.

keep grinding on the calipers, I fit Lt1 brakes and LS1 brakes with 15" welds, so you didn't remove material in all the proper spots then. ls1tech.com has tons of pics to show you were people removed material from the calipers with no ill effects.
