Rear Winter Tires for Trans Am
Rear Winter Tires for Trans Am
Unfortunately I need to drive my TA during the rest of the winter season for a few months. Anyone have any ideas of what the best tires would be for this size on my 1984 TA???? They are tough to find here in Chicago.
Thanks. Tire size 225 60 15

Bridgestone blizzak in the size you mentioned are the best snow tire by far. Very soft compound and great for traction. Just make sure you get them off before the road gets too warm or these things will be done in no time.

I used to run BFG comp T/A vr4s on a 92 RS in high school. I put the same thing on my 94 when I was in college. Loved them. Sure the Blizzaks are better in snow, but the BFG was a good all around tire. I never switched them summer/winter. Good Luck!

o-yeah, one more thing to consider. A buddy of mine had an identical 94 Z28 when we were in college. He put blizzaks on the rear, left the z rated on the front. Bad idea. He crashed the car 3 times before he replaced th e front. The improved rear tires pushed the front when slippery. The car wouldn't turn. Please consider 4 matching tires.
