wut do i need?
Ok guys I’m looking at auto crossing this summer, and wanna beef up my suspension… I want to upgrade everything, so I’ve done searches but haven’t came up with the information I really wanted… so idk if you guys could help me make a list of things I need to do and put them in priority that would be very helpful… just trying to come up with a game plan…
Oh and everything is stock no sfc or anything… its also a 1984 z-28…
Thanks for the help guys…

#1: Find out what class you want to run and plan your mods accordingly.
#2: Buy some GOOD tires, and get some seat time.
#3: Start replacing things in the suspension in accordance to whatever class you want to run.

This question is totally irrelevant to my post, but how do they mark your car at an autocross event. Do they use window chalk like they do at the drag strip, or do u have to put vinyl #’s on your doors?

Depends on the event. Some places just use window chalk, I think some places provide numbers, and others require you to have your own numbering.
The reason I replied the way I did was because in order to compete effectivly, you need to build the car to suite the class you are going to be in. Buying lots of parts and installing them and then going to the track to find your parts put you in a class way over your head is not a good thing.
Also, seat time (on a track) is on of the best things you can do. An experienced driver is very important. And as far as I know, any street tire you can run in any class.
My advice is to not cheap out on any part that you will be allowed to use. If you are serious about it, be ready to spend some serious money. (for example: around 600-700 for KONIs)

Here, this should be it. Rather lengthy, but you should be able to find what you need. Have to look alot, though.
