Re: WS6 suspension or not?

check the rpo codes, probably in the console glovebox if you still have the sticker. the ws6 code should be there if you've got it. while you're at it, you can decode the rest of them here

It is to late to worry about it now, you should checked before you bought the car. Someone could tell you the sway bars sizes and etc.. Then it means getting under the car and checking if it still has the old parts. Not worth the effort in my opinion.

Re: WS6 suspension or not?

Look on the inside of the rear wheel well compartment lid, that is where mine were on the '91 Formula. One of my Firebirds had them on the inside of the center console glove box. If not, then get the complete documents on your specific from PHS (Pontiac Historical Services) - well worth it!

In third gen Firebirds the WS6 package was real mechanical parts, better ratio steering box, specific wheels/tires, springs and roll bars. All obtainable searching this website if you need specifics. There's a member with an excellent Formula website, all Formulas got the WS6 package. Happy hunting!!

Re: WS6 suspension or not?

Measure the front sway bar. WS-6 should be 36 mm
