Re: rack and pinion?
I bought the Flaming river Pinto rack and pinion and ordered all the stuff that I need from BMR (I was getting strut mounts from them also). Got the rack off of Ebay. There's still some fab work that needs done and I'm confused a little. I've searched and haven't found much either on this topic.
Re: rack and pinion?
A search for key words rack and pinion will turn up quite a bit. - It's not recommended unless you have extensive fabrication skills and knowledge on proper geometry.
- There is only one rack and pinion available that will maintain a decent turning radius and it is hard to find. Otherwise the spindles must be modified(not an easy task) to bring the tie-rods in closer to the axle centerline. - Without one or the other you end up with the turning radius of a school bus.
