Help me with new shocks please!
i'm looking at getting 4 Tokico Illumina Shocks, they're 5 way adjustable. my stock ones just aren't cutting it. I want something that is reasonable priced but gives me a more firm hadling around corners. they'll be going in a 91 Z28 5.7 TPI. and i can buy them at shox.com for 446.40 for all 4 with no shipping. just let me know if these will be good for this car.

If you search on this site this question has been asked and answered a million times. Pretty much that best shocks you can get are Koni yellows or Bilsteins. Pretty expensive. Your looking @ over $600 for a set maybe more. Next is the Tokico Illumina's. Probably the best bang for the buck. And then there is the budget conscience KYB AGX's.They are adjustable, and are the cheapest of the bunch. Ill be buying teh Tokico Illumina's pretty soon also.
BTW..If im not mistaken they are a bit cheaper on ebay I believe.

I'm gonnna say save and go with KONIs. I have them and love them. May be a little rough at times, but I really like them at higher speeds. But, to each his own (plus, it won't take you 8 months to get the front after the rears are on like it did me, lol).

Re: Help me with new shocks please!
hey thanks for all your info. $600 is a little expensive for me but i'll consider all options. if you have any more infor just let me know. i need to shop around on ebay to but thanks a million.
Re: Help me with new shocks please!
I used to run a couple different cars in SCCA and other than my Koni's in the Neon, I used Tokico in everything else (adjustable and non-adjustable). I really had no complaints and I never blew them out or anything. I was planning on getting the ones they sell on Ebay for my 'Bird, I think you get a whole set of Tokico for the cost of Bilstein fronts.

I think that if you search for Firebird Koni you'll find cheaper listings than if you search for Camaro Koni. Kinda dumb, but... that's ebay.
