biggest tire size i can run?

I have factory 91 formula wheels and i was wondering how wide of a tire can i run on them? i'd like to keep the same height so i don't throw the speedo off. right now i have 235 on there i believe.

Re: biggest tire size i can run?

I've got 275/60/15 in the rear of my camaro. fits nice looks good. but i gained 2 inches of tire height. if you can find 275/50/15 you'll have stock height tire. or if your running 16's you can go 275/45/16 and still be at stock height

255/50-16 is the largest tire you can safely run on a 16x8" wheel. Stock is 245/50-16 (or 235/55-16 on base models). Any wider and you run the risk of bead separation under load.
