Torque Arm Bushing Help!!
God my hands hurt from trying to press the outer bracket over the poly bushing in order to start bolts into the bracket.
The upper 13 mm bolt is off center of the hole and the outer bracket needs to move down a a few millimeters to flush with the inner bracket. I don't have the strength to pull this down over the hole.
Any tips? Should I loosen the two long bolts to perhaps give me some play?
Channel locks do not work.
Thanks for help guys

Re: Torque Arm Bushing Help!!
I used a C-clamp. Yea, it's almost impossible to compress it with one hand while trying to get the bolt starte, unless you're popeye.
I think I also used an exacto to carve a way a bit of the bushing. One part of the lip is in the wrong place (and yes i'm using the right bushing for an '82 car), so some material can be sliced off for a better fit.

Re: Torque Arm Bushing Help!!
I ran into the same problem. I had a ffreind with me as we did the rear control arms and panhard rod at the same time. Replacing the busking took longer than doing the rest of it. We both pryed on it and attempted to take it out and bend it with a vice from what I remember(this was 5 years ago). Another hand will definitely help. Sorry i don't have more detailed instructions for you.

Re: Torque Arm Bushing Help!!
I Just did this project using the one spohn sells. I used a small c clamp due to working area tight and a small hammer to tap the holes back in line. The bushing was getting the best of me for a while but just take your time. Not the funest places to work on.
