Best way to tie subframe connectors and cage
I am unclear about how to connect the two. The cage is in and welded except for the two bars that run down from the main hoop. These are supposed to go through the floor and to the connectors, but they are a good foot from them.
To simply run a bar connecting the two wouldnt have much strength.....I have plenty of round stock left over from the cage.
Does anyone have any pictures?

Before I did my back half, my main hoop was attached to the floor with the required 6x6 plates. The diagonal bars coming off the main hoop down towards the driveshaft tunnel were nowhere near my SFC so I just installed another pair of 6x6 plates to the floor and welded the tubes to them.

I thought you had to have them connected for 9.99? I dont see any good way to do it without really tearing things up. Maybe ill just weld it to the floor.

What if you have SFC that run along the rockers? They would be nowhere near the diagonal bars.
I can't find anything in the IHRA or NHRA rulebooks that says the rollbar or diagonal tubes need to be attached to the SFC. In a unibody car, all the tubes must be attached to the 6x6x1/8 plates what are welded or bolted to the floor.
If you can weld any of the tubes to the SFC then it will be stronger but it's not mandatory in a unibody car.

Yep, mine run right along the rockers, I heard the right way to do it was to connect the two, but I dont believe its mandatory also. Hey if its good enough for you, its sure good enough for me.....thanks.
