Posibly damaged and way too narrow sway bar?

Car: '87 Camaro
Engine: 4.3L V6
Transmission: T5
Axle/Gears: 2.73
Posibly damaged and way too narrow sway bar?

I rebuilt almost the entire front end. I'm now trying to put the sway bar on and it's 2 inches too narrow. It's the same bar I took off but I don't think the old end links were that out of plumb. I can't even get the second end link on it's that far off.

This isn't normal, is it?

No. Note the lean in the following pic. Also note how the sway bar is postioned.
