anyone running 9" wide wheels with 25mm offsets
I found a set of wheels with a 25mm offset and I want to see if anyone here has whels with these specs or close to it. The wheels 17x9 with a 25mm offset. Based off an offset calculator, the front wheels will move in about 1/2" and the rears will move out about 1/4". Im not worried about the 1/2" in the front since I can always use a small spacer if needed. Plus the Z06 brake kit will move the wheel outward alittle bit too so it wont be too bad. The 1/4" in the rear will not even be noticable.

Re: anyone running 9" wide wheels with 25mm offsets
A 9" wheel with 25mm offset will yield an approximate 6" rear spacing to the edge of the rim. This will hit the tie rod with stock brakes in the front. My rims with the same offset needed a 1/2" spacer to just barely clear the tie rod. Your brakes push things out approx another .3-.5 depending on parts, so you will likely still need a small spacer.
The biggest concern may be the center depth of the wheel. Most wheels are no longer designed to clear our old style wheel bearing hubs. My wheel bottomed out on the area where the dust cover went & required a thicker wheel spacer so that it did not hit.
On the rear this wheel offset will clear with drum brakes, but may hit the e-brake cable with discs, so a small spacer or some cable relocation may be needed here as well. I use the small 1/8" stock spacer with drums & 285/40's & it only slightly touches the rear inner fender when pushed to the limits in a turn.
Hope this helps.
