steering box question
could somebody help me out and tell me what the 2 wire plug on the top of my steering box is for? thanks

That came on alot of the lower-HP cars; it's a high-pressure switch; it shut the AC off when the wheel got cranked hard, to keep from killing the motor.

so if i take that plug and wires out of my car its not gonna hurt anything then, got ya. guess that would explain why it was with the AC wiring harness lol.

Some will have both an A/C shut off and a throttle kicker wired into the low pressure switch on the steering box. Both wired through the A/C harness. One normally open the other normally closed. Either way, low steering box pressure breaks line to compressor clutch and actuates throttle kicker solenoid.
