Re: Tires Size !!!
The correct rim width for that tire size is 8.5". You do not have that width. That tire size will not work. Also, a 295 will never work on the front, so you must be talking about the rear only.
I would guess that your rim width is maybe 6.5" or 7.0".

Re: Tires Size !!!
im running 275 s all the way around and i have plenty of room in the rear and would be suprised if i couldnt fit a 295 in there.its all going to come down to back spacing of your new rim..

295/65 would be a truck tire size and fairly tall(somewhere around 29" I believe) 295/50's can be fit under these cars, but require a wider than factory rim.

FWIW: I am running a P295/35R18 on the rear, the tire is 26.1" in OD. It barely fits inside the fender for width. OD is no issue.

Re: Tires Size !!!
I ran the BFG 295/5016s on my 92 RS, with the stock 16x8 wheels, no problem.
No over cupping of the tread pattern, due to the less-than-ideal wheel width. No horrible handling. The increased tread width, helped traction issues.
When my current 245/5-s go out, I'll be getting the 295/50s for my GTA too.

Re: Tires Size !!!
295/50/16s aren't 30", only 27.6" by specs. Now, I know specs aren't always spot on, but not 3" off.
I took this pic, just after a bath. Now, at some point I lowered the car, but I can't be certain if it was before or after the pic, but I do know, the tires weren't changed.

The red TA on your far left is currently running 295/50s, but they aren't very visible in the second pic. I'll try to get a good pic from him, and find out of the car is lowered or not.
