Axle/Gears: 3.23 posi/ 3.73 posi
what gears in 4th gen
this guy said he would give me a fourth gen rear end. if i give one of my thirdgens rear ends i couldn't find the codes on the axles housing. what gears did the 4th gen come with.

A far as I know, they came with 2.73s, 3.23s(auto V8s) and 3.42s (manual V8s). Some SLP optioned cars (rare) had 3.73s with the manuals. Might have been some different ones with the V6s, but I don't know for sure. What did it come out of?

u i think a firebird not sure and it has drum breaks tho i just want the gears out of it for my brothers car
