power to manual steering

the power steering pump is going on the camaro i just bought to turn into a strip car and i want to get manual steering.

the only solution i have found is a manual rack for ~$600 from several places, is there a cheaper way to do it? or a better way?

if i have to spend $600, it wouldnt be the worst thing, but i can definitely find better things to do with the remaining money.

Re: power to manual steering

Manual steering box from a 84+ S10 is a direct fit.

Re: power to manual steering

pump, lines, fluid, bolts.... and a cleaner look. not a huge weight savings, but a few pounds helps!
you will need to reuse you camaro pitman arm, as the s10 will not work properly.
still an easy swap.
