Cracked brackets in rear

Anyone have any pics of the rear suspension of an IROC? i have cracked these brackets on both sides of the rear susp. Dont know the name of the bracket or anything but they attach to the rear axle and are just below the control arms. Theyre almost an L shape i guess. anyone know what im talking about?

Re: Cracked brackets in rear

Mine is a drum rear axle with disks, boxed panhard, and LCA relocator brackets. Should look close enough to pick out what cracked.

I might have another pic of the driver side with the wheel off if you need it. My general feeling is that you can weld up the crack and be fine. Is the crack on a bracket or on the axle tube?

below the control arms? - There are no factory brackets below the control arms. humm, maybe a set of those "traction action" control arms?

Re: Cracked brackets in rear

the cracks are on both brackets, not the actual axle tube. looks like it may be the only bracket in those pics you posted.
